Before You Book

Booking Terms & PRICING

  • STEP 1: Take a moment to read through all the booking information on this page so you know what to expect.

STEP 2: Fill out the booking form. Booking Form

STEP 3: I’ll get back to you via email to discuss your design, appointment date and time, and provide a price range based on the details you’ve submitted.

STEP 4: Once we’ve agreed on everything, I’ll send you a link to pay a non-refundable $100 deposit to secure your spot.

STEP 5: Come in on the day of your appointment and get your new tattoo!

Please note: It may take up to 72 hours for me to reply, as I manage all my own admin, drawing, and tattooing—thank you for your patience! Also, please be aware that Instagram DMs can be unreliable, and I might not see your message there. Email is always the best way to get in touch.

  • Deposits
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to secure your spot. This covers your appointment time and, for custom work, the time spent creating your design. For flash, it helps reserve the design just for you. Thanks so much for your understanding! your support means a lot :)

    Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice so I can transfer your deposit to a new date. If you reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit will be forfeited.

    Cancellations
Cancellations also require at least 24 hours’ notice. As deposits are non-refundable, a new deposit will be needed if you decide to rebook in the future.

    Late Arrivals
If you're running late, please email me! Instagram DMs aren’t checked regularly and may be missed. If you're more than 30 minutes late, we may need to reschedule, and your deposit will be forfeited.

    No-shows
Missing your appointment without notice means your deposit will be forfeited. If I’ve created a custom design for you and don’t hear back, I’ll assume it’s no longer needed and may add it to my flash collection for someone else to choose.

  • Minimum Rate
The minimum cost for a tattoo is $150.

    Small to Medium Tattoos
Each tattoo is priced individually rather than by the hour.
If you’re booking multiple pieces in one session, I offer a bundled rate.

    Large Tattoos
Full-day sessions are $1000 and run from 11:00am to 6:00pm.
If we finish earlier than expected or if you need to end the session early, you won’t be charged the full day rate.
    For ongoing large-scale projects, I offer a reduced full-day rate :)

    Factors That Affect Pricing

    • Design complexity

    • Size (smaller doesn’t always mean simpler)

    • Placement (some areas take more time)

    What Doesn’t Affect Pricing

    • Breaks during your session

    • Minor changes made on the day

    Quotes and Budgets
I’m happy to provide a price estimate, though it may change slightly depending on the final size and placement.
If you have a budget in mind, feel free to mention it on the booking form and I’ll do my best to work within it.

Your Tattoo Design

  • All flash designs are one-of-a-kind and won’t be repeated. Each has a minimum size to make sure details hold up over time.

If you'd like to adjust a flash design (like resizing or small edits), just let me know in advance.

If you want a custom version inspired by one of my flash pieces, I’m happy to create something unique for you.

You can browse available designs here or check my Instagram Highlights.

  • Have a specific idea in mind? Please provide a clear description along with reference images if possible.
The more information you share, the better we’ll stay on the same page!
Major changes to the design may require rescheduling and a new deposit.

  • If it’s your first tattoo or you feel more comfortable chatting in person, just let me know!
For larger projects, I may ask you to come in for a consult.

These are free and usually quick, just to make sure we're on the same page before your appointment.

  • You'll see your design on the day of your appointment. This helps protect originality and keeps things on schedule.
For large-scale work, I’ll send a rough sketch ahead of time to confirm the concept.

  • Let me know at least one week before your appointment if you’d like to make changes to your idea.

  • Please speak up! Your comfort is important.
If we can’t find a direction you’re happy with and you decide not to go ahead, your deposit will be kept to cover time spent.
Custom designs that aren’t used may be added to my flash collection.

PRE-CARE

  • To keep your skin in the best condition for tattooing, start moisturizing daily at least three days before your appointment. Hydrated skin is easier to work with and helps achieve the best possible results. Natural options like coconut oil or body butter work great and leave your skin feeling soft and nourished.

  • Try to stay out of the sun and avoid getting sunburned before your session. Sunburned or overly dry skin can be sensitive and harder to tattoo, which may affect the final outcome.

  • A good night’s sleep can make a big difference. Being well-rested helps your body handle the tattooing process better, making the experience more comfortable for you.

  • Make sure to eat a solid meal before your appointment. This helps maintain your energy levels and prevents lightheadedness during your session.

On the Day of Appointment

  • Wear comfy clothes that make the tattoo area easy to access. Loose clothing is best to avoid rubbing your fresh tattoo. Black clothes are ideal in case ink or stencil marks get on them. Bring a change of clothes if needed.

    • A water bottle

    • Sugary snacks or drinks to keep your energy up

    • For full-day sessions, you can take a lunch break.

    • Headphones or a book if you’d like to relax during the session

    • Government-issued ID: Required to confirm you are 18 years or older.

  • I work at Studio Absent, located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

Address: Basement, 381–387 Flinders Lane, Melbourne VIC 3000.

The studio is just a short walk from Flinders Street Station, so I recommend taking public transport if possible. If you're driving, there are paid parking options available nearby.

AFTER-CARE

  • STEP1 : Once your tattoo is complete, it will be covered with cling wrap to protect it. Keep the wrap on until you’re home or in a clean environment.

STEP2 : With freshly washed hands, gently remove the cling wrap and wash the tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water.

STEP3 : Let the area air dry or gently pat it dry using a clean towel or paper towel. Avoid tissues, as they can leave fibers behind.

STEP4 : Apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and create a protective barrier.

If you prefer second skin instead, no problem! I have it available, just let me know.

    • Avoid using Vaseline, as it prevents your skin and tattoo from breathing properly.

    • Skip swimming, soaking in baths, or using saunas for at least two weeks.

    • Do not scratch your tattoo, even if it itches, as this can disrupt healing.

    • Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight during the healing process. Once healed, always use high SPF sunscreen to protect the area.

    • Try not to touch your tattoo unnecessarily and wear clean, breathable clothing, preferably cotton, to avoid irritation.

  • Gently wash your tattoo every morning and evening using a fragrance-free, antibacterial soap.

After washing, apply a light layer of moisturizer to keep the skin soft and hydrated.

Avoid irritating fabrics like wool and harsh detergents that could affect healing.
